SATURDAY Nov 12th: LAST DAY OF SOCCER
I wanted to thank all the players and their parents for a great soccer season! Immediately following, there will be a party at the fields to celebrate!
Would anyone be interested in taking on the organization of the following Montauk Youth events/programs?
– January 2 – Family Rollerskating Night at Sportime in Amagansett. This is open to all – rollerskates are available for use through Montauk Youth. We provide 2 hours of skating, pizza and drinks for $5 each person. We need someone to collect the skates from Montauk School, collect payment and waivers, order pizza… – Goat on a Boat (or other) play group in Montauk – we have organized this in past years and the young children have loved it. For this program to happen, we need someone to contact Goat on a Boat, find a location to hold the program, collect payment and waivers….
Let me know if you are interested in helping and we can walk you through the process of organizing.
Thanks, Maureen Montauk Youth, Inc.
There is interest, so we will be booking the Sunday, January 26 bus trip to NYC to see Matilda. The itinerary is as follows:
7am – bus leaves Montauk Post Office 9:30am – arrival in NYC 3pm – Matilda at the Shubert Theater directly after the show – return trip to Montauk.
Balcony tickets (with Jitney transportation) cost $100 per person. Tickets are first-come, first-serve. You can drop payment at CinemaCycle at the Montauk Movie any morning from about 8:30 to 10am or make arrangements with me for pickup. Make checks payable to Montauk Youth. If you responded to yesterday’s email that you are interested, I have saved seats for you.
Montauk Youth is looking to schedule a trip into NYC on Sunday, January 26 to see Matilda. Tickets would cost $100 each (which includes Jitney transportation – and you’ll have several hours of free time in the city). Before we book the trip (tickets have to be paid for later this week), I’d like to get an idea of whether there is interest.
Please respond to this email if you would be interested in the trip – also include the number of tickets you would want.
Thanks so much, Maureen

East Hampton PAL Football/Basketball is holding its annual fundraiser this Friday – November 15 – from 5pm to 8pm at The Stephen Talkhouse. Kathleen Fee and her band Celtic Cross will be playing (you won’t want to miss this – they are amazing!). The cost per ticket is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. They can be purchased through PAL football players and through the parents listed below.
The event will also include a silent auction with dozens of prizes including Patio Heaters, Lawn Furniture, Sports Memorabilia, Fine Wine & Cigars, Luxury Watches for Him or Her, Apparel, Fuel Oil, and more.
The PAL program supports numerous competitive East End football and basketball teams throughout the year in Suffolk County leagues, and relies on program fees and fundraised monies to cover insurance, equipment, and other costs. Dozens of children in each grade level – ages ages 5 to 14 – from Wainscott, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Montauk, Springs and Amagansett participate.
Please come out and support this worthwhile program, and have fun while you’re at it.
